Charlie and I did a low key gig at The Rep Pub in Ipswich, Saturday lunchtime, which went very well, we did 7 songs from 'The 4th Way' cd album that we have coming out (we usually only do 3 x songs at Singer-Songwriter shows). I'm not sure what the regular punters at The Rep made of us as they don't usually have much live music there but we were warmly applauded and as we shot some of our video for 'Goodbye Pain' at the venue, we were keen to go back and play there to return the favour. The 'Caro feat Charlie Batchelor' online presence is growing and we had some good comments on our video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OE7pq492Uo. The cd album is officially in the shops on October 15th now, so you can order it at you local shop or you can still buy it via our myspace page, now officially myspace.com/carofeatcharliebatchelor. We've slotted in a few more local gigs running up to our London showcase gig, which is October 9th at 'The Original Songwriters', Backyard Club, 231 Cambridge Heath Rd, Bethnal Green, London. If you send us a message on myspace with your address we can post you a flyer, which will get you into the gig for £4 instead of £5 on the door. We hope to see you there.

Tuesday August 14th, we set up 2 x locations for a new set of photos Today. We started at The Old Rep bar in Ipswich which has neatly retained much of the original theatre decor from some 30 years back! it all looked great to me. Then we set off for a wonderful 'Glass and metal' contemporary back drop building over by the football stadium in Ipswich (you can guess the building). That was absolutely stunning. The whole time that Gary was taking some very creative stills, the 'steady' Dave Jay was shooting footage for a video to go with 'Goodbye Pain'. We finished up at Felixstowe beach under extreme British summer galeforce winds and rain for the final scenes of the video. Charlie bravely walked the beach for the sake of art! We'll post the video here and on Youtube when it's ready.
